The countdown to Bandon’s 4th of July celebration is nearing its final days. We love this weekend because Bandon really knows how to throw a party. Of course, there is a parade and fireworks but Bandon has added a few more events to enjoy during the day including cardboard boat races and a special Alive After Five for the 4th.
Here is the schedule for the day:
10:00: Parade
It begins at the high school and winds through Old Town
10:00-4:00: Farmer’s Market
11:00-2:30: Lion’s Club BBQ in City Park
3:00-5:00: Cardboard Boat Races
Down at the Bandon Boardwalk.
3:00-8:00: All American Apple Pie & Ice Cream
Grab a slice and watch the boat races.
5:00-8:00: Alive After Five
Visit the Port of Bandon Picnic Shelter to grab a map of participating businesses and your commemorative Alive After Five glass for $10.
Fireworks around 10:00
Tune into 95.6 FM for a fireworks soundtrack.
The Bandon Relay for Life will be hosting two delicious fundraisers during the day. Treat yourself to nachos and a root beer float at the Farmer’s Market from 10-4 then head over to the Bandon Coffee Café from 12-2 for strawberry shortcake!
The weather forecast looks clear with a high of 60. Invite your friends and family for a visit to escape the heat and celebrate the 4th, we hope to see you there.
